Sean-isms

Sean has taken his time learning to talk. He didn't start trying to say more than a couple of words until after he was 18 months old. I know that probably isn't late, but we had a second baby on the way and a toddler who was frustrated because he couldn't communicate, so it sure felt late. Once he started talking, he didn't stop. He still isn't really doing sentences, but he is putting together simple phrases or multiple words to get his point across. This has made for a much more peaceful house most of the time. It has been hilarious watching him learn to talk. We have laughed so hard at some of things he will say or mispronounce. These are some of our favorites.

Mo - this was one of his first words. This is what he called Noah. He would find the picture of Noah in all his Bibles and would say "Mo" like he was so excited and proud of himself.

Noah fart - I about died laughing the first time he said this. He got a Noah's ark book for Christmas and went through a phase where he would stick an "f" on the end of words, so it came out as Noah fart. This is what he still calls that book.

The "Booty" song - this is his favorite song and has been since right after Halloween. The song is called You Are the Beauty, but when Sean says it, it sounds like the Booty song. He asks to listen to it ALL the time, and I frequently have to explain to people that he isn't asking to listen to a trashy song.

How much whole world - this is one of the few phrases he consistently says. We usually ask him how much we love him at bedtime and he used to say "much". One night I told him he was my favorite Sean in the whole world and it stuck. So now he combines the two and says "how much whole world". It is the first way he has expressed his love towards us in words. I just love it!
